Experience
Kate graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2019 with a B.A. in English, an honors concentration in creative writing, and a minor in business economics. She has worked as a writing TA, an English SAT teacher, an assistant at a big five publishing house, and a personal assistant to a literary agent.
Publications
Kate’s essay, “A Love Letter to My Therapist,” was selected as a Notable Essay in the New York Times’ 2019 Modern Love contest. Her poetry appeared on Juked in May 2019, and she was awarded Best Short Story by the Indiana Collegiate Press Association in spring 2019. She published a narrative essay, “Undeniably Excellent,” in Notre Dame Magazine (circ. 150,000) in 2016. Her poetry has also been published in Notre Dame literary magazines “The Juggler” and “Re:Visions.”
